Working Title #2

NL / FR

WorkSpaceBrussels breaks out of its workspace for
a second coming of the Working Title Festival.

From 7 to 18 of April a variety of artists and affiliates will present their artistic findings, research or projects at Kaaitheaterstudio’s and Beursschouwburg.

WorkSpaceBrussels was founded in 2007 as an initiative of Kaaitheater and Rosas, and aims at supporting and guiding artists from Brussels, Belgium or abroad, through intensive periods of residency. The emerging results are presented at (ir)regular moments, each time in new formats of the Working Title Festival.

An important part of the April festival is shaped by the adventurous liaison between WorkSpaceBrussels and Sarma, the workspace for criticism, dramaturgy and research in the field of performing arts. Together we present an evening around the anthology of the works of dance critic Pieter T'Jonck, the results emerging out of research projects around Expo '58 (Eric De Kuyper, Marc Vanrunxt & Lu Marivoet) and the legendary Crash Landing sessions (Myriam Van Imschoot, Christine De Smedt & Kristien Van den Brande).

Furthermore we will be presenting some productions and special projects by Manah Depauw, Agata Maszkiewicz, Carlos Pez, Davis Freeman & Norberto Llopis Degarra, and a surprising first peek into the work in progress of Superamas, Trajal Harrell, Ben Benaouisse, Pierre Rubio, David Bergé & Kajsa Sandström: all of which artists in residence at WorkSpaceBrussels during and after the festival.
