Rok Vevar (1973, Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia)
finished comparative literature studies at Faculty of Arts (1992-1997) and
studied theatre directing at Academy for Theatre, Radio, Film and TV
(1998-2000) in Ljubljana.
He is a theoretician, critic (DELO Daily, VECER Daily, Radio Student, MASKA,
Lutka, Catalogue of Slovene National Theatre Drama Ljubljana, Catalogue of City
Theatre of Ljubljana, editor of various Festival Catalogues, Literatura etc.),
dramaturg and curator in the field of performing arts (theatre, dance,
performance art). Member of editorial board of Maska, performing arts journal
(1999-2006). With Simona Semenič co-author of three theatre & dance
pieces: A Fistful of Empty Hands (2001), Solo No Peak (2003), Chartography of a
Feature-length Slide Show (2005). Works and lives in Ljubljana as a free lance - art critic.
