The axes of the WorkSpaceBrussels mission consist of
providing young artists (Brussels based or not) with a residency and a working period, and proper support for their early creations. This support is customized according to the specific needs of the artist and his project. We try to lay out an apt trail for them based on some exploratory conversations. WorkSpaceBrussels then helps finding adequate
workspaces, logistic, administrative, financial and dramaturgic support, housing in Brussels, partnerships, opportunities for presenting their work, ... WorkSpaceBrussels can also act as an executive or co-producer.
WorkSpaceBrussels doesn't have an infrastructure of its own. We try to make a choice for a suitable space for creation and presentation based on the specificities of the project in question and in consultation with our partners (in Brussels or beyond). These spaces may vary from an office for research projects or a bare dance studio for the early stages of creation, to an equipped theatre space for finishing and presenting the work. In this search WorkSpaceBrussels is backed up by its partners
Kaaitheater, Rosas / P.A.R.T.S., Brigittines, Beursschouwburg, Bains Connective, Pianofabriek, Buda Kortrijk, Raffinerie / Charleroi Danses, Szene Salzburg, Transforma Torres Vedras, ... WorkSpaceBrussels also relies on these partners for many aspects of the technical and logistic needs of its projects.
